Matterhorn - Wellington

A sixteen-year evolution of a cherished Wellington icon and the city's living room. First founded in the 1960's as a Swiss style coffee house, Matterhorn grew to set the benchmark for hospitality and culture in New Zealand and abroad for much of the first two decades of the 2000's. Styled as lush, New Zealand modernism, the architecture provided the perfect setting for the community focussed restaurant and bar's vision of celebrating the every-day. The creative partnerships that began with Matterhorn's first redesign in 1997 are alive and well today.
